Wounded Warriors Canada (WWC)
|
I'm a member of the clinical team of Wounded Warriors Canada (woundedwarriors.ca/), an organization dedicated to providing programs and services to injured members of the Canadian Armed Forces, veterans, first responders, and their families. Through WWC, I am a group facilitator in their COPE and TRP programs.
COPE (Couples Overcoming PTSD Everyday) is a group-based experience for members and their partners. Couples discuss how PTSD impacts them as a couple and family, and learn new ways to understand and manage their joint experience of PTSD. For more details or to apply: woundedwarriors.ca/our-programs/couples-overcoming-ptsd-everyday/ TRP (Trauma Resiliency Program) is a group-based experience that is aimed at helping members who have have been exposed to traumatic experiences. In these groups (TRP 1 and TRP 2), group members develop a better understanding of their trauma experiences and learn tools for managing their symptoms. There is ample opportunity to practice these in the group. For more information or to apply: woundedwarriors.ca/our-programs/trauma-resiliency-program |
